At the time of the 1861 Census she was living at 17 Lamb St with he rmother, her name was recorded as Isabella, aged 28, recorded as married, a Housekeeper, birthplace Falkirk, Stirlingshire. I haven't located a record of a marriage in Lanark for her.

She was the Informant on her mother's death certificate, and made her mark suggesting she could not write. She was described as "Isabella Crossing, Daughter and Occupier"
