Euphemia married Malcolm Hugh Angus "Angus" Cameron, son of Angus "Ewen" Cameron and Margaret Mackenzie, on 1 Jan 1855 in Dunmore, , New South Wales, Australia. (Malcolm Hugh Angus "Angus" Cameron was born circa 1825 in Lochaber, Inverness, Scotland, United Kingdom, died on 14 Jan 1869 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia and was buried after 14 Jan 1869 in Oxley Island, Taree, New South Wales, Australia.). The cause of his death was Disease of spinal marrow.

bullet  Noted events in their marriage were:

• Alt. Marriage: ca. 1848, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia.

bullet  Marriage Notes:

His son's birth certificate states that they were married in 1854 at Dunmore NSW.

13 Sep 2000 - A search of the NSW BDM Index from 1850 to 1860 did not reveal any record of an Angus Cameron marrying, nor a Euphemia McKinnon. This was confirmed in a further search in June, 2003.

A further search in May 2005 revealed the following entry:

V1848510 78/1848 CAMERON ANGUS MCLAURIN EUPHEMIA JY.

The JY subscript indicates a Presbyterian marriage at Bungonia, Goulburn.

Could the name McLaurin by an error in the transcription?

Further investigation of the NSW Births Index seems to indicate that the Angus and Euphemia marriage in Goulburn are two different people. This leads to the conclusion that there is no entry in the marriage Index for our Angus and Euphemia.

Euphemia next married Thomas Waldron, son of William Waldron and Cecile, on 22 Jul 1869 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia. (Thomas Waldron was born in 1841 and died circa 1909 in Taree, New South Wales, Australia.)

bullet  Marriage Notes:

A search of the NSW BDM Index revealed the following entry:-

2563/1869 WALDEN THOMAS CAMERON EUPHEMIA
Please note the spelling of "Walden".

Leslie McKinnon has them being married in her home by Rev. Alan McIntyre a minister of the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia. She marked the marriage register with an 'x'.
