Her surname is hard to make out on daughter Margaret's Death Certificate, but it's possibly MALLIN. There is no first name listed. Her name is not recorded on daughter Margaret's christening record, but no mothers are listed for any of the entries on the page.
There is a record of a marriage between a James Fairweather and an Isobel ALLAN on 18 Jun 1785 in Kirkden and repeated on 19 Jun 1785 in Dunnichen. Both of these locations are in Angus, but not too far from where Margaret was born. There also appears to be a record for them at Dunnichen on 12 Sep 1784 with Isobel's surname recorded as "Fairweather". As Margaret's first daughter was named Isobel there is a strong possiblity that these are her parents.
