bullet  General Notes:

A www.familysearch.org entry suggests that she was born in Fetteresso in 1798. The 1841 Census records that she was 40 years old and born in the County when she was living in Fetteresso. But, both the 1861 & 1871 Census records list her birthplace as Aberdeen. She is aged 60 and 70 respectively in these documents. The 1851 Census records her age as 49 and her birthplace specifically as Old Machar, Aberdeen and from this I have discovered a birth record for a Margt Fairweather born 12 Feb 1799 to Jas Fairweather, no mother listed. This would seem to be our Margaret.

She was visiting the household of Robert Gardiner and (her daughter) Margaret Napier Gardiner at the time of the 1871 Census.

She was recorded as 80 years old when she died on 16 September 1880. her death certificate confirms that her father's name was James with her mother's forename left blank, her maiden name appears to be Mallin.

bullet  Medical Notes:

Her Death Certificate is hard to read. All I can make out about the place of death was xxxxxwayside, Tollcross. Tollcross is a suburb of Glasgow, north of the River Clyde.

The informant was John Napier her son.
