bullet  General Notes:

He was single and living with his mother and siblings at the time of the 1911 Census.

It is possible he served in the British Army as a Lorry Driver in WW1 suffering a gunshot wound to his leg during an enemy attack in France, which fractured his femur. More work required to validate. He enlisted on 27 August 1914 at Whitehall. His occupation at the time was salesman. Regimental Number M/324737, 272 MT Coy, Royal Army Service Corps, Rank, Corporal. He was injured on 5 September 1916 in France.
