On 25 May 1910 the NSW Police were looking for Frederick according to the Police Gazette:
Newtown - A warrant has been issued by the Newtown bench for the arrest of Frederick Fulton Keato, charged with disobeying a summons for the non payment of Pnds16 1s. due on a magisterial order for the support of his wife. He is 20 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, medium build, dark hair and complexion, clean shaved; dressed in dark clothes and black hard hat; a plasterer.
By 20 July the NSW Police reported:
Frederick Fulton Keato, charged on warrant with failing to appear on summons for disobeying a magisterial order for the support of his wife, has been arrested by Senior-constable Develin and Constable prior, Sydney Police. Discharged. No prosecution.
On 1 and again on 22 November 1916 Frederick appeared in the Police Gazette:
NEWTOWN - A warrant has been issued by the Newtown Bench for the arrest of Frederick Fulton Keato, charged with disobeying a magisterial order for the support of his wife (Pnds9 17s. 6d. due). He is 28 years of age 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, medium build, dark plexion, black hair, clean shaved; dressed in either dark-grey working clothes or navy blue serge suit, and a brown soft-felt or straw boater hat; a contracting plasterer. A quarter caste Japanese. Said to be working on the Picton railway deviation works.
On 17 January 1917 the Polcie Gazette reported that:
Federick Fulton Keato, charged on warrant with disobeying a magisterial order for the support of his wife has been arrested by Sergeant 3rd Class McAtamney and Constables McCormack and Stinson, Sydney Police. Withdrawn. Re-charged with disobeying a similar order (Pnds17 7s. 6d. due). Remanded to appear at the Newtown police Court on 29th instant. Bail allowed.
