Catherine lived at "Cairnsdale" with her parents at the time of her marriage to William O'Sullivan. William was a brother to Johanna Sullivan who's daughter Wilhelmina Mary Boyd was born at "Carnsdale". The location in both instances is likely to be Carnsdale in NSW, just to the west of Culcairn and about 65kms NE of Howlong.

Catherine was small in stature. At some stage she had a bad fall, landing on her face. She broke her nose so badly that they had to remove the bones, leaving her with a very flat nose!
