General Notes: He is referred to as "John Napier, Younger in Chapel of Barras" on daughter Ann's Birth Record and his parents were living "in Chapel" when their other son Alexander was baptised. Noted events in his life were: • He worked as a Farmer, according to his son William's Death Certificate. • He resided at at the time of daughter Ann's baptism on 6 Aug 1782 in Chapel of Barras, Kincardine, Scotland. • He resided at at the time of daughter Elspet's baptism on 1 Aug 1787 in Largie, Kincardine, Scotland. • He resided at at the time of son William's baptism on 1 Jan 1792 in Largie, Kincardine, Scotland. John married Isabel Smith on 7 Jul 1779 in Kinneff & Catterline Parish, Kincardine, Scotland. (Isabel Smith was born circa 1755 in poss, Arbuthnott, , Kincardine, Scotland.) Marriage Notes: There is is also a record of their marriage at Arbuthnott Parish dated 17 Jul 1779. Isabel is listed as from that Parish on the Kinneff & Catterline record. |
