Caroline Loveridge Sole (Abt 1869-1929) |
Caroline Loveridge Sole
Cause of her death was Pernicious Anaemia 1 yr/ Rheumatoid Arthritis 6 yrs. Another name for Caroline was Carrie. General Notes: According to her death certificate she was 60 when she died which would make her birth year 1869. As Edward died in Feb 1868 this would rule him out as the father, but it is possible her age is incorrect. The fact that no father's name is listed on her Marriage or Death Certificates may be relevant. Interestingly, she was born in Waimate whereas the other children were not (mostly New Plymouth) and Waimate is where her mother re-married David Smith. Was David the father? The "Loveridge" middle name may also suggest a father's surname - the Loveridge's were also pioneers in the New Plymouth area (having come to NZ on the same vessel as Richard & Susannah (Sole) Foreman) and there are many of them in the area today, and in history. Caroline married Charles Armour, son of Alexander Armour and Eliza Esther Masters, on 21 Sep 1891 in St Clements Church, Yass, , New South Wales, Australia. (Charles Armour was born on 25 Apr 1865 in Binalong, , New South Wales, Australia and died in 1945 in Canterbury, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.) Marriage Notes: It was a Church of England Ceremony. Place of Birth and Parents names were not recorded. Witnesses were Alexander & Marion Armour. These are believed to be his father and his young sister. |
