bullet  General Notes:

She was listed as presently living in Sunnyside, but usually resident in Harrietville on her marriage certificate.

See her husband for details of where they lived up until his death in 1952. In 1954 she was still living in the family home, but by herself, at 8 Barkly St, Fitzroy North, occupation home duties.

On her death certificate no details were known about her family. She died in the Sunbury Mental Hospital. She was recorded as 77 years old, a widow, usual place of residence North Fitzroy - all of which strongly suggests this is the same Maggie. It is possible all her children were dead by 1955, only 3 daughters - Nellie Thelma and Elizabeth - are known to be alive in 1952 when John Lucas died.

Three of her children, Roy, Lena, and Andrew, who all died at young ages, are buried together at the Coburg Cemetery.

It was a Wesleyan Methodist Ceremony. Witnesses were Peter Jones & Euphemia Soderblum. Euphemia was Maggies sister, Peter was most likely her nephew, son of her sister Elizabeth.
