bullet  General Notes:

Emile served in WW2 and was killed in action at Malo Terminus, Dunkirk, during the evacuation of Dunkirk. He was a Corporal in the 23rd Regiment of Algerian Tirailleurs (Trench Artillery).

Extract from the letter of 14/11/1940 from the General Secretariat of Veterans Affairs addressed to the Mayor of NANCY (54): "... I have the honor to inform you that I am advised of the death of Corporal LAHAXE Emile Roger of the 23rd RI of Tirailleurs, death on May 30, 1940 in MALO-TERMINUS (59) .... "

Extract from the letter of the City Council of LEFFRINCKOUCKE (59) of 21/08/1941 addressed to Madame LAHAXE: "..... your son LAHAXE Emile is currently resting in the military cemetery of my commune, in a coffin offered by it His tomb is located in row 2, tomb No. 44 .... "
