Thomas Wilmots

  General Notes:

Thomas' baptism record records him as a "bastard" and he was baptised with his mother's maiden name. It is not presently known what the circumstances of his birth were, but there is a record of the death of a James Saunders 5 years before Thomas was born which might explain that (as it might have been his mother's husband). However, a descendant of his does have a DNA connection with Saunders descendants which suggests that he might have indeed been the son of a Saunders - maybe one of James' male relatives... At this stage I have him recorded as James' son just to include him in the Saunders tree. Certainly Honor was his mother..

Thomas married Anne Prebble. (Anne Prebble was born in 1817 in Holtham, Kent, England.)
