Alison Brown
Alison married David Ross on 19 Jul 1792 in Tranent, East Lothian, Scotland. (David Ross was born circa 1761 in Scotland, died on 7 Dec 1827 in Firth of Forth, near Cockenzie harbour, Scotland and was buried on 11 Dec 1827.). The cause of his death was Drowned in Firth of Forth.
They were supposedly irregularly married at Edinburgh 1 Dec 1791, "rebuked, exhorted" etc by the congregation and married. This was probably a device to cover the fact that their first child was born just a couple of months later, and 9 months after the "irregular" marriage. |
