William Greig
Cause of his death was Old Age. Another name for William was William Grieg. General Notes: Witnesses at his Baptism were William Smith and David Grierson. Noted events in his life were: • He worked as a Salter according to son, James' death certificate. • He worked as a Saltmaker according to son, David's death certificate. William married Isabella Hall on 12 Aug 1787 in Inveresk, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. Marriage Notes: They were married in Edinburgh (Inveresk & Musselburgh parish) and then had the marriage subsequently registered in Tranent Parish as well. This was the same as William's brother, Alexander. This is the only marriage for a William Greig in Tranent that fits the age of William. |
