William Hocking
General Notes: At the time of the 1851 Census he and his wife Jane were living at Newlyn Church Town in Cornwall. They were 65 and 64 years of age repectively, both born in Redruth, Cornwall. William was a Lead Miner. Living with them was their niece Grace Brown, aged 19, born in Redruth, occupation - Lead Dropper; and a nephew Thomas Harris, aged 10, a "visitor and scholar" born in Redruth. Noted events in his life were: • He worked as a Lead Miner in 1851 in Newlyn, Cornwall, England. William married Jennifer Jane Brown on 28 Jan 1807 in Redruth, Cornwall, England. (Jennifer Jane Brown was born on 4 Jul 1784 in Redruth, Cornwall, England.) |
