Frederick was the Secretary of the Gaeity Athletic Club in Sydney and a married man with two children. Ann apparently met him when searching for her husband, to serve divorce papers on as he had deserted her, and commenced a relationship wth him that resulted in 6 children. The children's birth certificates record the father's names and they are not recorded as "illegitimate". The two youngest boys were recorded with the surname Williamson. Lillian and Thelma had been fostered out in the 1920's. Annie and Fred (Snr) were certainly living together when Annie died and he referred to himself as Widower on her death certificate.

Frederick had a relationship with Mary E. Fox.

Frederick had a relationship with Ann Jane Robertson, daughter of George Robertson and Agnes Gouldthorp. (Ann Jane Robertson was born on 4 Oct 1881, died in 1932 in New South Wales, Australia and was buried in 1932 in Sandgate Cemetery nr, Newcastle, , New South Wales, Australia.). The cause of her death was Complications arising from operation for Bowel Cancer.
