bullet  General Notes:

Elizabeth arrived in Australia on the 29th June 1830 aboard the Roslin Castle as a convict. She had been tried in London on the 3rd December 1829 and sentenced to 14 years for stealing a Prayer Book. She had had no prior convictions. Elizabeth, or Betsy, was described as 5' tall with a dark sallow complexion, Dark brown hair and brown eyes. She had "SLLE" marked on her left arm.

She was assigned to Thomas Barnes in 1829, also a former convict, whom she later married.
