If dates are correct would this be his second marriage? If so do you kn ow who his first wife was?
I've been ignoring this ,because of dates for quite a while, and final ly I notice who submitted it.
David is the son of David, the son of Thomas. Correct?

Central Shetland Sheepdog Club


Glenfox is a small kennel in the township of Foxton, near the mouth of t he Manawatu river in North Island, New Zealand. Owned by Karen and Dav id Higgie since 1994.


We breed Shetland Sheepdogs for showing, agility, obedience and, of cours e, for companionship. We do everything we can to breed our dogs with a cal m, pleasant nature, and find great character in our dogs. Glenfox Mark Ant hony, in his seven short years, has been the Central Shetland Sheepdog clu b's best blue merle for several years and has three challenges, has sir ed two litters, with progeny in obedience and agility.





The dogs Monte, Sha, Tony and Ptath belong to Karen and David Higgie. T ag and Merlin belong to Amber Parker and John Dutson-Whitter. Tip, Tyl er and Tui belong to Danny and Tracy Gotleib.





Well everyone Christmas is just around the corner and our dogs here a re starting to get very excited they all love Christmas because the ea ch get a half canon bone and the collie gets a full one. But we have to w atch Monte because he will steel everyone else's. We have a few Christm as related photos in the photo page and some more new ones so give th at a check.

Scott, David, Settler,
Willow Bank,' Bulls. Mr Scott is the son of o ne of the pioneers of the Colony. His parents having arrived in Wellingt on in 1841, where they settled for a few years. Subsequently, removi ng to Rangitikei, they settled at Scott's Ferry, called after Mr Scott's f ather, who had large contracts, among others, being that of carrying the m ails between Wellington and New Plymouth. The subject of this sketch was o nly three years old when he came to Rangitikei, and, growing up with the s ettlement, he soon became of material help to his father, especially in ca rrying out his mail contracts. Mr Scott thus at an early age came to kn ow the value of a good horse, and has since been breeding horses for thir ty five years. He has bred and owned some of the best horses in the Colon y. Among others may be mentioned Ahua, Parvenu, Omaha, Tornado, Adventure r, Waitangi, Fallacy, Cordelia, King Don, Flintlock , Lady Mary, Corneli a, Kahurangi etc. Mr Scott now has several youngsters running on the prope rty, of which more will be heard in the future. Mr Scott married Miss Higg ie, of Wanganui, and has six boys and five girls. One daughter is marri ed to Mr McKelvie, of Flock House, and one of the sons married Miss Frase r, daughter of Mr Donald Fraser of Pukehoe.

David married Louisa Gertrude Old, daughter of Richard Old and Sarah Jane Watkins, in 1951 in New Zealand. (Louisa Gertrude Old was born in 1892 in Fielding, Manawatu, New Zealand and died in 1955.)
