Cause of his death was Consumption 4 mths. General Notes: At the time of the 1861 census Thomas was living at Clarksons Land, Coatdyke, Old Monkland in the household of his widowed sister Janet Gilmour. He was unmarried, 24, an iron Miner born in Old Monkland. His brother George, unmarried, 20 born Carfin was also living there. Noted events in his life were: • He worked as an Iron Miner in 1861. Thomas married Francess Routledge, daughter of John Routledge and Margaret White, on 31 Dec 1861 in Coatdyke W.P. Church, Coatbridge. (Francess Routledge was born on 28 Jul 1839 in Old Monkland, Coatbridge, Lanark, Scotland, died on 17 Jan 1876 in 44 Alexander St., Airdrie and was buried in Old Monkland Church Yard, Coatbridge, Lanark, Scotland.). The cause of her death was Disease of the Chest. |
