"Eliza O'Grady Jamieson was born on 15th November 1877 at Mooroopna in northern Victoria, the first child of Elizabeth (nee Tilson) and John Jameison. She was named after her paternal Grandmother, Eliza O'Grady.
Eliza's father was a farmer in Tatura. In 1894, when Elizabeth was seventeen the family moved to Narrandera in southern New South Wales. Eliza and her mother and her two other sisters and her youngest brother travellend to Narrandera by train. Her father and her other five brothers drove there with horse teams. In Narrandera the family ran the Crown Hotel in Larmer Street for the next three years.
Eliza became quite ill in about 1964 when she was 86 and she was admitted to hospital where she was confined for most of the next two years.
