Noted events in his life were: • He worked as a Pit Bottomer at the time of his second marriage on 29 Apr 1892. • He worked as a Retired Coalminer at the time of his wife's death on 4 May 1920. • He resided at the time of his second marriage on 29 Apr 1892 in Crofthead, Bathkennan, Scotland. James married Margaret Izzett on 29 Apr 1892 in The Manse, Grangemouth, Stirling, Scotland. (Margaret Izzett died before Apr 1892.) Marriage Notes: It was a Church of Scotland Ceremony. Witnesses were Alexander Campbell and Maggie Hill. Interestingly a second set of witnesses have signed below Isabella's name also. They were John Park Mathie and Alexander Gordon Mitchell. James next married Isabella Johnstone, daughter of William Johnstone and Janet Gillon, on 29 Apr 1892 in The Manse, Grangemouth, Stirling, Scotland. (Isabella Johnstone was born about 1852 and died on 4 May 1920 in Tinto View, Dalserf, , Lanark, Scotland.). The cause of her death was Fatty Degeneration of Heart, Influenza Epidemic 2 days / Acut Bronchitis 10 days / Cardiac Failure. Marriage Notes: It was a Church of Scotland Ceremony.
