Peter Cullen
Cause of his death was Carcinoma of the femur. General Notes: It appears that in 1911 he was single, aged 61 and living as a Boarder at "The Moorings" in Hutchinson Place, Cambuslang. This was just near where his brother, James, was living. Peter was working as a General Labourer at the Steelworks (James worked there too), and was boarding with James and Jane Telfer. James Telfer was also working at the steelworks. Medical Notes: The informant on his death certificate was John Muirhead, nephew. Noted events in his life were: • He resided at the time of his marriage on 28 Oct 1870 in Thankerton Lodge, , Holytown, Bothwell, Lanark, Scotland. • He worked as a Baker - Journeyman at the time of his marriage on 28 Oct 1870 in Holytown, Lanark, Scotland. • He worked as a Moulder's Labourer (retired) at the time of his death on 7 Nov 1926 in Cambuslang, Lanark, Scotland. Peter married Agnes Weir, daughter of William Weir and Betsy Bond, on 28 Oct 1870 in Holytown, Lanark, Scotland. (Agnes Weir was born circa 1853 in Scotland.) Marriage Notes: It was an Established Church of Scotland ceremony. Witnesses were James Marshall, the grooms brother in law, and James Cullen, either the groom's brother or father. Peter next married Elizabeth Duncan on 28 Oct 1870 in Holytown, Lanark, Scotland. Marriage Notes: It was an Established Church of Scotland ceremony.
