Cause of his death was Heart failure. General Notes: At the time of the Census in 1911 he was living at 18 Hutchison Pl, Cambuslang. This house had 4 rooms with windows. His wife was living with him as was his daughter, Margaret, a school teacher. They also had a visitor, Williamina Logie, aged 29 who had been married one year and was born in Govan. She may have been a friend of daughter Margaret as James and Margaret only had the one child. Noted events in his life were: • He worked as an Engine fitter, Journeyman at the time of his marriage on 14 Feb 1873 in Coatbridge, Lanark, Scotland. • He worked as an Engine fitter at the time of Margaret's birth on 18 Dec 1879 in Coatbridge, Lanark, Scotland. • He worked as an Engineer Fitter at the Steelworks in 1911 in Cambuslang, Lanark, Scotland. • He resided at the time of his marriage on 14 Feb 1873 in Main St, Coatbridge, Lanark, Scotland. • He resided at the time of his father's death on 12 Feb 1901 in 18 Hutchinson Pl, Cambuslang, Lanark, Scotland. • He resided at the time of the census in 1911 in 18 Hutchinson Pl, Cambuslang, Lanark, Scotland. James married Margaret Earl, daughter of Archibald Earl and Margaret Blain, on 14 Feb 1873 in 108 Hill St, Garnethill, Glasgow, Scotland. (Margaret Earl was born circa 1843 in Nitshill, Renfrew, Scotland and died on 29 Jun 1911 in 18 Hutchinson Pl, Cambuslang, Lanark, Scotland.). The cause of her death was Pulmonary Phitisis. Marriage Notes: It was an Established Church of Scotland ceremony. Witnesses were John Cullen and Agnes Earl. |
