bullet  General Notes:

On the children's baptism records he is variously named Peter or Patrick Hardie or Hardy. Anna is variously named Ann, Anne, Anna and Annie and Patty or Patie. He is named patrick on his bpatism record. He is named as Peter in his burial record.

It appears the family moved from Leuchars in Fife to Kemback in Fife, a distance of just 6 miles, between 1772 and 1775. Son Robert was born in Leuchars in 1772 and William in Kemback in 1775. On William's baptism record Patrick/Peter is described as "Peter Hardie tennant at Gouk-hill in the grounds of Rumgally..." On son Robert's death record 1781 he is recorded as "farmer on the west ground of Rumgally"

There is a David Hardie having children in Leuchars around the time that Patrick/Peter is. This is believed to be his younger brother.
