Alexander P. McIntyre

   Cause of his death was Fracture at base of skull, coal mining accident./Fall of coal on head, died instantly.

   Another name for Alexander was "Pug".

  General Notes:

At the time of the 1910 census he was living with his mother in Coaldale, 26, single and a coal miner. His name is recorded as "Ellick P" but this is believed to be a misunderstood "Alex P." as he appears to have used Alex. His cousin "Ellick T" (probably Alex also), aged 40, single and a coalminer is living there too.

In the 1920 Census he is recorded as Alex P and living in Fulton St, Coaldale. He is 35 and a coal miner. Living here also are his wife, Mary E, aged 29, born in Pennsylvania, as were her parents. They could both read and write. Living here also are their children, Kathryn L, 5, John D. 3 1/2, Elizabet L, newborn (recorded as 0/12 months). Alex's mother, Henrietta is living with them. She is aged 77 and is recorded as having immigrated in 1857.

At the time of the 1930 Census he and the family, now including Richard A, aged 2, are living on Main St, Coaldale. he is working as a coalminer. All children except for Richard are attending school.

Alexander married Mary Edna Figard, daughter of James Lewis Figard and Emmaline Melissa Clark. (Mary Edna Figard was born on 19 Jan 1890 in Wood, Bedford, Pennsylvania, USA, died on 13 Dec 1946 in Huntingdon, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, United States and was buried in Dec 1946 in Coaldale, Bedford, Pennsylvania, United States.)
