He is listed on 1715/07/13 AS A PALATINE FAMILY IN IRELAND. HE IS NOT ON THE 1720 LIST, AND PROBABLY DIED BETWEEN 1715-1720.

Spelling variations include: Baner, Banner, Bayner, Bainer and others.
First found in East Prussia and Silesia, where the name came from humble beginnings but gained a significant reputation for its contribution to the emerging mediaeval society.

Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: Adam Baner, who was recorded in Maryland in 1774; Georg Baner, who came to Philadelphia in 1803; Christian Benner, his wife Anna Margaretha and their children, who arrived in Philadelphia in 1749.
