There is a record of a John M Mara born to John and Ellen in 1865 in Yass, NSW. However this appears to be a different Mara family.
John is buried with his brother Michael in the Roman Catholic Section of Rookwood, location: Mortuary 2, Area 8, Grave 1571. Their sister, Mary, and her daughter Mary are in the adjoining Grave 1572. John & Michael's plot has no Memorial Inscription.
