Norbert Edward Anstiss
Cause of his death was Suicide. Another name for Norbert was Norm. General Notes: Norbert served as a Meterological Assistant in the RAAF in WW2, service number 402183. He enlisted on 24 June 1940 at Rozelle and was discharged on 5 September 1946 on demobilisation. At the time of enlistment he was a Salesman, 6' tall with fair hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. An Aircraftman at time of enlistment he rose through the ranks and was a Warrant Officer when his service ended in 1946. He served in Australia at Cootamundra, Carlton and Townsville and also had a stint in Port Moresby in 1941-42. Norbert married Monica O'Toole in 1943 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. (Monica O'Toole was born in Charleville, Queensland, Australia.) |
