Robina Wyllie
(ca. 1816-1891) |
Robina Wyllie
Cause of her death was Cancer of stomach, 6 mths. Other names for Robina were Mary Bain and Rabina Wyllie. General Notes: In the 1841 Census she is named as Mary. It is quite possible that this was her birth name and that Robina is some sort of nickname. It might be relevant that she and Archibald appear to have adopted Scottish naming conventions for their children but the first born daughter is named Robina, when the maternal grandmother was also Mary. Maybe the grandmother, Mary, was also known as Robina? Noted events in her life were: • She resided at the time of her marriage on 22 Aug 1834 in Clerks Lane, Kilmarnock, Ayr, Scotland. Robina married Archibald Bain, son of Francis Bain and Martha Richmond, on 22 Aug 1834 in Kilmarnock, Ayr, Scotland. (Archibald Bain was born on 6 Apr 1816 in Kilmarnock, Ayr, Scotland and died on 4 Jan 1893 in 63 Low Glencairn Rd, Kilmarnock, Ayr, Scotland.). The cause of his death was Cancer of bowel, 2 years. |
