The Cornwall OPC database records that their marriage was recorded in the West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser. The Marriage Date (6 Jan 1836) is the date of the edition of the newspaper, which was published weekly on Friday. They were married "at Plymouth on Thursday last".

At the time of the 1841 Census he was living on Fore St Camelford, aged 40, a Mercer and tailor employing 3 men, born Lanteglos. Living here also was wife Mary, 33, also born Lanteglos and son Edward GP Arnall, aged 10, born Lanteglos. Also Jane Bray a House Servant, single, 19.

At the time of the 1861 Census he was still living in Fore St, aged 50, a tailor and Grocer. His birthplace is recorded as Stratton. Cornwall (which is where his parents married). Living with him is his wife Mary, 43, born Lanteglos, and Annie Arnall, a cousin, single, 21, occupation Assistant, born Lanteglos and Caroline Arnall, his niece, aged 11, a Scholar, born Islington. Caroline was his brother James' daughter. This provides conclusive evidence of Edward's connection to this family.

Edward was also the informant on his father's death certificate and was present at his death in 1867.

in 1871 he and Mary are living in Camelford aged 60 and 53 respectively. He is a Land Owner and China Stone (??) Merchant.

By 1881 Edward & Mary are living with their son, George, in Fore St, Bodmin, Cornwall. George is the Head of the household, unmarried, 40, a Veterinary Surgeon, born in Camelford.
