There is a record of a baptism of a Thomas Arnall on 21 May 1811 at Davidstow, Cornwall to parents George and Elizabeth. Davidstow is just 4 miles from Lanteglos-by-Camelford.
Thomas arrived in Sydney, Australia on 16 Dec 1840 on the Lady McNaghten along with his sister Mary Ann. His Immigration record shows that he was 29, single, a blacksmith and clearly recorded as the son of G Arnall, a mason, and his wife Elizabeth Bayly. His "state of bodily health, strength and probable usefulness" was recorded as very good, religion Protestant, and he could read and write.
