Living not far away was the family of William and Ann Potter - he was an Attorney's Clerk, not born in the County - with daughters Louise and Sarah. Possibly Caroline's parents?
He emigrated to Ontario, Canada and died there at age 64 on 4 March 1879. This William was a cordwainer (cutter).
