The only record of a possible marriage I can find is for Margaret Johns (or JONNES at Scotlandspeople) to John Hutt in 1763 in Edinburgh, but recorded in St Monance Parish, Fife. She is named as Margaret Jones in birth records for subsequent children, Allexander [sic], John, Margaret & Thomas all born in St Monance.
This location is on the other side of the Firth of Forth from Cockenzie, and south of Dundee and Montrose so geographically plausible.
