bullet  General Notes:

Jullie and her brother Jules were twins. He died at 3 months of age. She also had a sister born 2 years before her with the same name. Presumably this child died before this Jullie/Julie Marie was born. It may explain why she used the name "Emilie" for most of her life?

Julie Marie and Dominique already had 3 children born before they were married. They divorced in 1904 in Dannemarie.

After the divorce, Julie Marie returned to her family with the younger children and the older children stayed with the father for a while, but eventually returned to their mother.

In the 1906 Census she is recorded as living in Danjoutin as Emilie Cardot, b. 1869 in Froidefontaine and working as a "ceinturiere"(?). The only child living with her is her youngest son Charles Salvadori, b. 1904. She is living in the same house as her parents and another family. This family was Emile Mury b. 1881, his wife Celine nee Marcomot (maybe Marconnot) b. 1884 in Danjoutin and their son Emile b. 1906 also in Danjoutin (the family was living in Danjoutin in the 1901 Census). This family is curious as on the next page of the Census is living another Marcomot family headed by Adolphe b. 1852 and his wife Julie nee CARDOT b. 1857 in Foidefontaine. This seems beyond coincidental but I have not yet established who this Julie Cardot is. Certainly Celine ne Marconnot living with Jean-Baptiste and Marie is the right age to be the eldest daughter of Adolphe and Julie. Also of note is that it appears that Jullie Marie/Emilie's sister Marie Melanie may have been living in Danjoutin at the time of the 1901 Census. A Melanie Cardot is recorded, aged 24, married to Louis Garcin and with children Louis, 4 and Ernest, 3. Louis is a "manouvre" or labourer like Constant Jacquot (below).

Eventually all the children were with their mother. In 1911 the Census shows Julie Marie is living with Constant Jacquot in rue de Belfort, Danjoutin, a suburb of Belfort. It is a household of 2 adults and 12 children, two of which were his from a previous marriage. She is recorded as his wife with the Jacquot surname but in the 1921 Census she is referred to as his Companion and under her maiden name. She is using the name "Amelie" which is similar to the name "Emilie" that appears on her grand-daughter Blanche's birth record (and the 1906 and 1921 Census).

In 1921 she is still living with Constant in Danjoutin and employed as a "Journaliere", a day labourer. Living with them are children Ernest, Roger, Emile and Rene. Emilie Cardot, as she is named, is recorded as Constant's "compague" (companion) so they were clearly not married. I am assuming that Emile, Roger and Rene were her children with Constant as she was with her parents in 1906 and there is a gap between the births of Ernest and Marie in 1904 and Roger in 1908.

Constant's first wife, Marie Stephanie and Julie Marie share the same surname and their families came for the same small area of France. There are linkages in their trees, but as yet no direct bloodline has been established. I'm certain there is one somewhere however.

In the 1931 Census she is living on Rue du Parfuis, Danjoutin. She is the Head of the household, Constant is perhaps deceased by this time. She is named as "Emilie Cardot", employed as a Tisserand (weaver) in Danjoutin. Living with her are sons Rene, b 1911 in Danjoutin, employed as a Teinteur (dyer) at "Teinteur Alsacien" in Danjoutin; and Roger b 1908 Danjoutin, employed as a "Ferratin"(?) at the same place. Then there is Alice Marinet, b 1911 in Dole, a "non-parent" (?); and grand-daughters Renée Jacquot b 1927 Dole; Ginette Jacquot, b 1929 in Dole, Jeanne Jacquot b 1931 in Dole. It's not clear which of the sons Alice is married to.

She died between 1931 and 1935. There is a record of a Mlle Julie Marie Cardot being admitted to a home for the elderly and infirm in Belfort in 1935. It is possible this was she.

Jullie married Dominique Abel Salvadori, son of François Salvadori and Marie Perichetti, on 17 May 1893 in Dannemarie les Blamont (Doubs), France. (Dominique Abel Salvadori was born on 23 Jul 1858 in Valganna, , , Italy and died after 1935.)
