General Notes: At the time of the 1901 Census James, a Baker aged 23 and born in Aberdeen, was living at 7 McGill St, Dundee. There were a number of other families living at the same address suggesting it was a large building, probably flats. His unit had 2 rooms with windows. Living with him were his wife, Janet, a Housekeeper aged 29; children, Jessie, 6, Mary, 5, William, 5, John, 1 and Janet's mother, Janet Jones aged 72 and "Living on her own means". Noted events in his life were: • He resided at the time of his marriage on 19 Aug 1891 in 150 Princes St, Dundee, Angus, Scotland. • He worked as a journeyman Baker at the time of his marriage on 19 Aug 1891 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland. • He worked as a Journeyman Baker at the time of John's death on 10 Apr 1908 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland. James married Janet Jones, daughter of John Jones and Janet Thomson, on 19 Aug 1891 in 31 Arbroath Road, Dundee, , Angus, Scotland. (Janet Jones was born on 24 Jun 1871 in Cockenzie, East Lothian, Scotland and died on 2 Nov 1934 in Gowrie House, Liff, , Angus, Scotland.). The cause of her death was Exhaustion from chronic mania.
