Living here with him was his wife Augusta S., aged 27, born in Newbross, Kent. This address was the residence of a Victor W Leonard, his wife and 3 young children. Ben and Augusta are recorded as occupying 2 rooms at this address so were probably boarding.

At the time of the 1911 Census Benjamin, aged 34, was living at 9 Frobisher St, East Greenwich. He was a Driller Engineer, a worker rather than an Employer, born in East Greenwich. Living her also were his wife Augusta Styles Gouldthorpe, 37, married for 10 years with 2 living children and born in New Cross; children Doris Ann, 9, a scholar, born West Greenwich and Benjamin William, 7, also born West Greenwich. A visitor was in the household, Augusta's mother, Sarah Ann Cottam, 73, a widow, born Gillingham (South?). The house had 3 rooms including the kitchen.

Benjamin married Augusta Styles Cottam, daughter of George Cottam and Sarah Ann Dunlop, on 16 Feb 1901 in St Alphage, Greenwich, Kent, England. (Augusta Styles Cottam was born about 1874 in New Cross, Kent, England.)
